What CorData is all about
CorData designs and builds custom computing systems of various types for companies in many industries, including architecture, engineering and construction, financial planning and manufacturing. The company’s primary focus is to provide solutions that “fit the client like a glove.”
Founder Matthew Brown’s vision to help businesses make the most of their computing resources led to the founding of Corporate Data Services in 1997. Corporate Data Services was launched with small engagements helping a local manufacturer improve its internal work processes without crippling the budget.
In June of 1999, the name of the growing company was
changed to CorData, which better reflected the company’s leading-edge
traits. The double-entendre of “cor-data” intentionally
exemplifies the company focus of managing the data that forms the
core of an enterprise.
In October 2001, CorData purchased Atlanta web hosting
company, SyteHost, an event which brought the company a growing presence
in the Internet hosting space. This acquisition provided a platform
for the delivery of the Internet applications CorData clients have
come to trust.
In early 2006, CorData launched CorData Ministry Services, a service line geared toward providing Christian churches and ministries everything they might need from computing technology over the web. CorData Ministry Services builds upon the stable Internet platform used by the CorData client family, adding to it several Internet tools to meet the needs specific to the non-profit ministry market, including Podcasting, Online Donations, Member Database, Sermon Manager, Virtual Rehearsal Tool, and several more.
